Assist faculty members with classes and courses; assist with research and instrument development/assessment; assist with the preparation of reports; assist with other miscellaneous duties/responsibilities.
This position is for the 2018 Fall semester only. Interested student candidates must apply for the FY 2018-19 position during the 2018 Summer/Fall semester upon advertisement. Upon successful completion as a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2018 semester, the student will be re-considered for a subsequent semester(s).
Assist faculty members in a variety of ways: cover classes or proctor exams; lecture in areas where the student is deemed competent; potentially tutor in classes which are in the student’s discipline; assist faculty with class preparation (i.e., library research, internet searches, and PowerPoint presentations), record keeping, and supervised grading of exams and assignments; assist with group study sessions as needed; and, other duties/responsibilities as deemed necessary or required.
Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and/or writing. Frequent standing, and/or sitting. Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Reach with hands and arms.
Visually identify, observe and assess. Ability to communicate with supervisor/students/colleagues. Regular physical attendance required.
