Develop, implement, and manage activities, programs, and services to promote student recruitment, growth, success, retention, and/or extracurricular development. Recruit, direct, and develop professionals providing non-instructional services to students. Develop processes and policies related to student support services issues such as registration, advisement, graduation, financial aid and retention. Oversee maintenance of student records. Direct evaluation of student and programmatic data to identify needs at the individual student. Oversee student related programs and events for college/school. May assist in educational related activities related to the accreditation process. May represent college/school to outside groups, committees, prospective students, high schools, and parents.
Responsible for managing all aspects of transfer student recruiting and retention, including external marketing. Development of strong relationships with off-campus outreach to two-year schools identifying potential College of Business students. Implementing recruitment campaigns to recent graduates of all two-year schools in the state of Oklahoma. Establishing follow-up procedures and boilerplate correspondence for all inquiries concerning the program by perspective students. Responding personally to all Inquiries from all high schools, two-year schools, and other interested parties. Creating marketing materials for recruiting and retention. Assist In management of the admission process according to college and university guidelines, including assisting students with documenting procedures and credential evaluations with regard to the satisfaction of requirements.
Assist with student program advisement, including monitoring of academic progress. Responsible for all College of Business recruitment and retention off-campus activities. Responsible for Transfer student customer satisfaction and assessment of all processes as defined above.
Conduct one-on-one career coaching sessions to create a career development plan including components of career assessment, definition of career and internship goals, choosing a major, job-search, resume preparation, interviewing, and applying to graduate/professional school.
Responsible for research relative to the competition, enrollment trends, retention, and placement. Serves on and advises appropriate committees. Manages transfer student information. Provides reports and executes other assignments related to College of Business issues as identified by the Dean or Assistant Dean of Student Success. Provides administrative assistance to College of Business colleagues as needed.
Facilitate training and skill development workshops and presentations to classes and student organizations and assist in coordinating special events, programs, fairs, etc.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and information about career fields and industries.
Communicate with relevant faculty and staff and any appropriate student groups and/or organizations to increase visibility and knowledge of office programs.
Participate in assessment of services and programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Traveling in-state to businesses and colleges will be required.
Requires a bachelor's degree in related field and extensive work experience that provides expert knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of area. Requires extensive knowledge and compressive understanding of functional area. Must have 7+ years of experience with leading planning, including program development and innovation, program prioritization, and assessment in higher education. Appropriate profession accomplishments and credentials.
Master's degree in counseling, higher education administration, or related field. At least three years of experience in career services, advising, and/or counseling. Understanding of career development theory. Demonstrated ability to use assessment instruments, MBTI Certification.
Excellent written, oral, presentation, interpersonal communication, analytical, creative/strategic thinking, and management/supervisory skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, office database systems, websites, and office management software required. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment with diverse populations required. Organizational and public speaking skills are required. Experience working with diverse groups of students and alumni. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement programs. Ability to work with faculty, staff, and company representatives.
