Assist with Library marketing and branding through social media.
Student will assist staff or faculty in supporting the classrooms, labs, or departments. Duties may include, setting up, picking up, and checking-in classroom items for classes. May be requested to set-up audio/visual equipment, PowerPoint presentations, and/or computers for staff, faculty or students.
Assist with managing the Library’s social media accounts. Assist with developing creative content for a variety of social media platforms. Monitor social media trends and propose creative strategies to engage and grow social media following. Meet daily goals for social media posts and interactions. Keep online profiles up to date. Track and report on social media advertising.
In order to be considered for the work study program, you must be approved for work study through the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS Fall/Spring Semesters All student employees must be enrolled at least half time to be eligible to work any UCO student position. Half time enrollment for Fall/Spring is considered 5 hours for graduates and 6 hours for undergraduates. Summer Semester Undergraduate Work-Study students must be enrolled in 6 hours to work on campus and Graduate Work-Study students must be enrolled in at least 5 hours. All other students must be enrolled in at least 3 hours to work on campus. Students not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in Fall classes in order to work on campus, but will be required to pay FICA taxes. If the number of hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum hours required to work, the student must obtain a letter from his/her advisor stating the number of hours needed to graduate. Excellent writer with the ability to communicate concise, action-oriented copy that builds engagement and trust among target audiences. Strong interest in data and user-behaviors. Detailed oriented and not afraid to ask questions to ensure each task is completed with precision and efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate on projects with constructive feedback.
Must be a social media expert with fluency in Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Solid understanding of how to optimize content so that it is engaging and on appropriate channels. The ideal candidate will be an active social media user with a deep understanding of the modern value of social media, who can bring creative social media-minded ideas and concepts to the Library.
