Coordinate and monitor technical projects or programs from initiation through delivery. Gather required data from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications. Serve as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Ensure technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.
This position reporting to the centralized Information Technology organization is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. This position works closely with both functional and technical areas coordinating the project phases from beginning to end. Types of projects include: selection of a new or replacement business application, on-premise software and software-as-a-service implementations, improvement or automation of a business process and technology integration for campus construction projects.

Requires a university degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results. 5+ years of experience with leading planning, including program development and innovation, program prioritization, and assessment. Appropriate professional accomplishments and credentials.
Understanding of technology as it applies to use in the higher education environment. Project Management Professional Certification is preferred.
This individual must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively communicate including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to a wide range of needs and audiences. Ability to explain technical terms in everyday language. Ability to work independently or with specialized group and maintain courteous attitude in dealing with students, faculty, and staff. Ability and willingness to complete several concurrent tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, multi-tasking environment. Solid communication and presentation skills with ability to work directly with senior level business & IT executives. Proven leadership, teamwork, and client management experience. Experience with project management software.
