The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) strives to enhance learning, improve service and communication, and increase student, faculty, staff, and community access to useful information through the application of technology. Information Technology at UCO provides computing, networking, e-learning, telephone, training, and support services to students, faculty, staff and the University community.
Perform computer and customer service related duties in an office setting. Typical duties may include but are not limited to: typing, filing, answering telephones, customer service, scheduling appointments, and Microsoft Office experience.
Perform communications related duties, including web content updates in an office setting. Typical duties may include but are not limited to writing content for the website or blog. Drafting emails and social media communications. Assisting with communications-related request management, web content updates and reporting, and reviewing for continuous quality improvement opportunities.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS Fall/Spring Semesters All student employees must be enrolled at least half time to be eligible to work any UCO student position. Half time enrollment for Fall/Spring is considered 5 hours for graduates and 6 hours for undergraduates. Summer Semester Undergraduate Work-Study students must be enrolled in 6 hours to work on campus and Graduate Work-Study students must be enrolled in at least 5 hours. All other students must be enrolled in at least 3 hours to work on campus. Students not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in Fall classes in order to work on campus, but will be required to pay FICA taxes. If the number of hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum hours required to work, the student must obtain a letter from his/her advisor stating the number of hours needed to graduate. Seeking energetic team players who are able to function in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have a strong marketing aptitude including creative writing skills and an educational background with digital influence. Possibly pursuing a degree in Strategic Communications.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to type consistently at a rate of 30 words per minute or faster. Great attitude with a strong desire to provide excellent customer service and for continual improvement. Ability to multitask and make effective use of available time.
