Full-time teaching assistants will be instructors of record and teach two sections of either ENG 1113: English Composition or ENG 1213: English Composition and Research during the fall and spring semesters. Part-time teaching assistants will be instructors of record and teach one section of either ENG 1113: English Compositon or ENG 1213: English Composition and Research during the fall and spring semesters. Teaching Assitants must enroll in and complete ENG 5533: Teaching Methods for TA's during the fall semester in which they begin teaching, must attend a week-long orientation before the fall semester begins, and must maintain a 3.25 graduate GPA for renewal. TA's must also be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credit hours in all but their las semester.

RAs attend scheduled staff meetings; assist 40+ residents and interact with Housing staff, University support personnel, and residents in an open and constructive manner; enforces and adheres to all University and Housing policies; promptly and efficiently completes all required administrative duties including room inventories, student check ins/outs, incident reports, programming as specified, facility work orders, and other duties as assigned.

Assist Food Lab professor with organizing and preparing the food for class each week. Assist students in running / programming the cash register. Follow and enforce food safety guidelines. Chosen LFs should have demonstrated successful course completion in the areas in which they will become a LF. The student will assist the Program Director in executing programs at the museum. This includes designing craft activities for the museum gallery, providing tours of the museum gallery, assisting in some marketing including social media marketing, and designing curriculum for museum exhibits. Intramural student worker's purpose is to establish and ensure the safety of intramural participants by officiating different organized sports and events associated with recreation programs. These responsibilities include enforcing all Wellness Center policies and procedures, exhibiting excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to go out of their way for others. These responsibilities are paramount to the overall success of the programs and services offered by the department. The Intramural Sports and Recreation student worker is additionally repsponible for and not limited to setting up for events, communicating with participants and vendors on a regular basis, and organizing and cleaning equipment. Other duties are as assigned.

General job duties include filing, making phone calls, answering the phones, scheduling appointments, taking referrals, building charts, interacting with consumers, using the computer for a variety of tasks, making copies, cleaning, organizing, and other office related tasks. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: serve as a stagehand for concerts and recitals as needed; set up and tear down for rehearsals; keep equipment and furniture straight and neat in classrooms and all common areas of the music building; help transport instruments and/or equipment between buildings on campus and possibly even the jazz lab.

Accompanist will play musical selections from scores, lead sheets or from memory in various styles and meters such as 3/4, 4/4, 5/4 and 6/8 tempos for warm-up exercises, combinations, across-the-floor exercises and compositions. Accompanist must be able to improvise in a variety of styles and provide music which reflects and supports dance movement.

Build scenery as assigned by the Technical Director, Scenic Charge, or Scene Shop Manager. Assist with maintaining the organization of the Scenic spaces, including the Scene Shop, Barn Storage, and Mitchell Hall Theatre. Assist with the oversight of lab students. The teaching assistant will assist the School of Criminal Justice faculty in a variety of ways pertaining to Criminal Justice class instruction.
All duties and services of the graduate teaching assistant are to be carried out under the supervision and direction of faculty or administration.

Provide customer service to the UCO community via phone, email, online portal, and in person. Students should be current UCO undergraduate students, Mass Communication majors, and have made an 'A' in Fundamentals of Speech. If students have taken additional classes that had a focus on public speaking, these courses and the grades earned should also be listed. Application should include the name of the instructor for Fundamentals of Speech and any other public speaking based courses, the student's comprehensive GPA, the GPA in the major, and the number of semesters studied. Must attend training as required, usually once per semester.

Ensure that food pantry shelves are fully stocked. Fill food order pre-sacks if necessary to keep shelves fully stocked.
Assist donors and volunteers in unloading incoming donations.
Sort and organize incoming donations.
Fold or hang clothing and help keep clothing room shelves neat and well stocked.
Assist clients in selecting clothing and household items for themselves and their families.
Keep warehouse aisles and walkways clear.
Load and deliver donations designated for the store.
Keep cardboard boxes “broken down” and ready for pick up by recycler

The front desk worker may be scheduled to work any shift that the Wellness Center is open.
Duties & Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Check id of everyone entering the gated area of the facility
Enforce all wellness center policies and procedures, exhibiting excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to help others.
Answer multi-line telephone, provide information to inquiries, take messages, or direct calls.
Check out equipment for use in the facility.
Assist patrons with answering questions, providing general university information, and referring to supervisor any issues or concerns.
Be familiar with Wellness Center policies and procedures.
Complete and submit a timecard each payroll period in a timely manner according to UCO procedures.
Operate the cash register and sell items.
Clean front desk and lobby areas.
This position reports to Health & Fitness Coordinator.
Perform other various duties as needed or assigned by supervisor.
Be familiar with all emergency action plans and first aid procedures (includes a current certification in CPR/AED).
Successful candidate must maintain positive attitude in a busy setting.

Student Assistant will greet visitors, facilitate tours and serve as an ambassador for ACM@UCO.
Student Assistant will assist with all ACM@UCO events with setup/teardown, PR/Marketing, logistics, etc. Student Assistant will work in conjunction with Marketing Director and Business Development Manager for event related tasks.
Student Assistant will perform basic clerical work such as filing, distributing mail, delivering packages, stocking copy machin paper, etc. and other duties as needed and assigned to support operations at ACM@UCO.
Student Assistant will provide overall support all ACM@UCO staff as needed.

Studio Technician will oversee scheduling and access to the facility for after-hours used of recording studios, rehearsal facilities, and any other uses as deemed appropriate by the ACM@UCO staff.
Studio Technician will regularly check email for after hours and communicate in a timely and conssitent manner with students making requests for use of facilities.
Studio Technician will be responsible for all facilities and equipment during after hours use, including checking equiment in and out and ensuring proper treatment of facilities during use.
Studio Technician will be expected to maintain a safe and courteous enviroment during after hours use and may be called on to act in case of emergency or other situation with appropriate response as dictated by teh ACM@UCO staff, UCO DPS, or other common sense practice, such as calling 911 in case of emergency.

Student will assist Liberal Arts staff or faculty in supporting the classrooms, labs, or departments. Duties may include, setting up, picking up, and checking-in classroom items for classes. May be requested to set-up audio/visual equipment, PowerPoint presentations, and/or computers for staff, faculty or students.

The Student Sound Shop Assistant provides support for all events at Mitchell Hall and related performance venues for University Productions and the College of Fine Arts and Design. Duties include setting up audio equipment, running a sound board, managing microphones and audio equipment on stage and backstage. Student’s will also assist with paperwork as assigned by the staff Sound Designer of Mitchell Hall, and other duties as assigned.

The facility monitor is responsible for the majority of cleaning in the cardio and weight room area and providing supervisors with information concerning equipment in need of repair or maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Clean group fitness room before 8am and before 5pm M-F
Clean windows and mirrors daily in group fitness area, cardio area and free weight area
Vacuum cardio and fitness area daily
Empty trash as needed and take to dumpster daily
Clean equipment bases cardio equipment, strength equipment and free weight machines
Dust all hand rails and televisions daily
Spot mop fitness floor daily, mop track on Fridays
Check locker rooms for overflowing trash and remove as necessary.
Perform other various duties as needed or assigned by supervisor

The Student Lighting Shop Assistant provides support for all events at Mitchell Hall and related venues for University Productions and the College of Fine Arts and Design. Duties include setting up lighting equipment, running a light board, crewing shows, and managing lighting equipment on stage and backstage. Students will also assist with paperwork as assigned by the staff Master Electrician of Mitchell Hall, and other duties as assigned.

Students will work as crew for shows in Mitchell Hall; these shows include theatre, musical theatre, dance, music concerts, and opera performances. Students will be working as stage hands, fly rail operators, possibly working the light or sound board during shows, plus other essential show tasks. Students will be required to help with load-ins and strikes before and after shows. During load-ins crew will be helping staff and other students set up the scenery, lights, and sound equipment for the shows/performances. Strike will consist of removing these items and getting the theatre space back to original order. Students will choose or be assigned to shows throughout the semester and will be required to be present for the entire shows run, from load-in and Technical Rehearsals through Dress Rehearsals and the Performances of the show, and strike following the shows end. This could entail late working hours, and full commitment to the rest of the crew and cast/performers.

The Theatre Box Office assistant provides box office and front of house support for all events at Mitchell Hall and related performance venues for University Productions and CFAD. Duties include ticket sales and ushering, along with other duties as assigned.

The Teaching Assistant (TA) is a 20 hour per week graduate assistantship. The primary responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant are largely based on the specific duties from a college or division. The position will apply theory to practice for the specific office or area in which the position is housed. The Assistantship shall be for the academic year (10 month position), with the opportunity to continue for the following academic year if agreeable to the supervisor and the Teaching Assistant. TA positions are academic and should include significant mentoring and professional development. tEACHING assistant should be considered part-time professionals in the field and given projects reflective of that role. Individual may not hold other employment on campus without prior permission from college or division and HR.
